I’m an artist: sometimes a painter, sometimes a weaver.

My husband and I built our house in the middle of a three-acre field in Burlington County’s Shamong Township in 1987. I began growing lavender in 2015 and sell it at mcgdesign.etsy.com.

I began my foray into sheepherding two years later with two Southdown Babydoll lambs, Hannigan and Merrill. I learned how to process and spin their wool, and later added two Gotland lambs, Clarke and Douglas, aiming to expand my fiber education.

My goal is to responsibly utilize the soil surrounding us and to leave it improved. I’m continually working to understand the soil we live on and how to increase its biomass organically with by-products from our small farm — all while enjoying the benefits of the wool.
