We have exciting news! As a continuation of our education and community objectives, we are introducing our 1st Fiber Along Breed Study.

The study is open to members (if not a Member join here as $15 Community Supporter)

What:  Romney Breed Study
When: December 2023 – May 2024
How: Zoom meetings, 1st Thursday of the month @ 8-9pm
Why: Because we love to talk fiber together and share creatively!
Cost:  $30 for the breed study, swag included

You can use any Romney fiber to participate and there will be local producers selling Romney fiber at the Fall Fleece and Yarn Sale.  Each meeting will feature a special guest speaking about their experience working with Romney sheep and their wool. Guests include Romney breeders, sheep geneticists, and fiber artists working with breed-specific wool. Deborah Robson, author of “The Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook,” will be our guest on Thursday, December 7 to kick off our study. There will be time to talk and share as well. Plus, a Slack channel to keep in touch and ask questions throughout the study.
