It’s Time To Grow!
Join us for NJ Fibershed’s Harvest Initiative, offering fiber artists a space to connect with the land, to experience their craft from seed to textile. The goal of NJ Fibershed Harvest is to engage with local makers to nurture a diverse and equitable community of crafters interested in sustainable textile arts. Participants will come together to cultivate gardens of natural dye plants and plant fibers such as flax, ramie, and cotton. Educational programming throughout the growing season will include workshops on plant care, natural dyeing, and the processing of plant fibers.
In addition to our continued partnership with TCNJ, we are bringing the Harvest to Union County and Newark! In collaboration with the Westfield Weavers Guild, we are excited to welcome you to the Miller-Cory House Museum in Westfield. Our planting location at Kenilworth Public Library in Kenilworth is open to the public. In Newark, we are excited to partner with Giving One Tenth Community Garden in their magical green space.
